The Icom IC-7600 ham radio replaced the famous 756 pro series and works pretty much the same way, except for some improvements to its display and receiver.  This is not for the budget minded, being one of the most expensive transceivers ever made, but once you see it and operate one you get a sense of your money was well spent!  It's truly one of the most amazing and beautiful models I've ever seen and although its advanced features are leap years ahead of other models, the way Icom does it, with a quick glance of the manual nearly anyone can be operating this model quickly and efficiently!

The display of the Icom IC-7600 is simply breathtaking.  The amount of data that can be read and analyzed makes most ham radios simply look pale in comparison.  Often I feel like I'm operating the NASA control center when turning this unit on...lol.  It really is enjoyable and things I never thought about and/or thought were just unnecessary luxury, soon become mandatory (they're really that good).  For instance, if you're a amateur operator and never had a radio with a bandscope, you're in for a pleasant surprise!  Instantly with a touch of a button I can tell you where all the activity is on a band!  In one second I can detect signal strengths 7khz, 20khz, and 100khz away for example without changing frequency!  If you're a DX chaser or just like to know where all the band activity is, this is a must have!  This model does have dual watch, which also makes it a great asset for band openings and DX chasing!
